For those of you who don’t know about IFA and its global conference, it’s one of the oldest industrial exhibitions in the world that has morphed into one of the largest smart home and consumer electronics show in Europe. It brings together all the major manufacturers of home appliances and consumer electronics who demo their latest products for the coming year and beyond. At IFA 2022, we were able to get a good look at some of the new technology and the best smart home gadgets coming to market around the world. These devices range from a smart app that can help solve interoperability among smart appliances and HVACs systems to a smart projector that can fit into your shirt pocket.
1) Nokia X30 Smartphone

The Nokia X30 is a comeback to Nokia’s roots of producing high-quality devices that have a lot of different features. The 5G version has a Qualcomm chipset and will come with two cameras. The front camera is a 16MP camera, while the back camera is 50MP with a wide, 123-degree FOV that is competitive with industry leaders. It features six side buttons on the back and a joystick for gaming. For long-term storage, the 128GB of onboard storage with the option to expand to 512GB via MicroSD card should suffice.
What a lovely 5G smartphone! It comes with a 100% recycled aluminum frame and a 65% recycled plastic back cover. With PureView technology and its excellent night mode, you’ll always get a super-wide-angle shot or vibrant nighttime shot. This model has a 6.43-inch AMOLED display and delivers FHD + 1080 x 2400p video resolution and has Corning Gorilla Glass protection. In addition, it comes with fast charging and a Snapdragon 695 5G CPU. Currently, no price is available for this 5G phone.
2) Samsung Bixby Voice
At the Samsung booth, the company showed off a wide range of devices that included an in-car solution, an automated external defibrillator (AED), and an assisted living device for seniors. However, their coolest showcase was the new Bixby Voice. Here’s how it works: You say a command to your phone like take a photo, and then Bixby sends you a notification on your phone with the photo already cropped and ready to post. This is perfect for moments when you want to capture something quickly before it disappears but don’t have time to edit or share.
3) Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED Laptop

Moreover, DJI’s Zenmuse X7 is able to capture an eight times higher resolution than existing drone cameras on the market while being just as agile. The X7’s electronic camera stabilizer ensures that footage taken in challenging lighting or windy conditions is stable and clear. Finally, the built-in Drone Controller allows video signal transmission up to 12 km away which, in essence, means you could even fly a DJI Spark 5G around your own neighborhood without worrying about signal interference.
5) Leica Cine 1 Projector

The Leica Cine 1 TV features Leica’s short-throw projector technology with a triple RGB laser and integrated TV turner. The TV is 4K compatible and can monitor displays up to 140 inches. A Dolby Atmos sound system makes the Leica Cine 1 a great choice for video streamers, gamers, and live-action content viewers. The Leica Cine 1 will be available in Europe in the second quarter of 2023.
In addition, many manufacturers are developing small, adjustable projectors you can hang virtually anywhere in your home. You can mount one of these on a wall or table at head level to create an instant cinema-like experience based on the amount of space you have. Adding additional width or height is even possible when using multiple projectors – just be sure they output the same format.
6) iRobot Roomba e5 Connectivity Pack
Using the Roomba as a connected device in your smart home is as easy as pressing one button. Once you have completed the Roomba setup, any time you press the remote button, it automatically vacuums your floors and gathers data on your floor’s surface texture. In addition, The app also shows you areas of dirtier spots in real-time, so you can change the way that the robot operates to keep them clean. When cleaning is done, all data from the day’s cleaning is recorded for a more efficient and thorough cleaning next time around.
7) Riley Electric Scooter(RS3)

There should be electric scooters that can fold up and be placed inside a duffle bag! Meet the Riley RS3 Electric Scooter. Weighing in at 31 lbs, this electric scooter by Riley Scooters is easily one of the lightest electric scooters on the market. weighing 14 kilograms and fitting into dimensions of 25.5 inches x 10.7 inches x 18.7 inches, the tires are 8.5 inches, and it’s for either 350W or 700W at maximum. Moreover, This machine can travel about 15.5 miles on a single charge, and it takes about 2 hours to charge the battery. The scooter is only sold in Italy for approximately 899 euros.
8) Lenovo Glasses T1 wearable Display
How would you like to watch your favorite movie or play a video game inside your glasses while traveling or waiting at the doctor’s or dentist’s office? Lenovo’s new Lenovo Glasses T1 wearable private display allows you to do this. In fact, this new generation of smart glasses features frames with built-in displays that can connect wirelessly to smartphones, tablets, and laptops through a full-function USB-C port. Also, the glasses feature excellent picture quality, high-efficiency options, and are lightweight. They are personal monitors you can carry in your shirt pocket.
Using Microsoft’s HoloLens integrated into Lenovo’s T1 wearable display, users can track hands and objects in virtual space with high-definition visuals at 120 frames per second. With the headset, you can also explore the content with both hands extended outwards or at your sides.
Lenovo Glasses T1 will be available in China in late 2022 and in select markets in 2023. There has been no price announcement.
9) Innit i3S with AI Assistant

An amazing new device that debuted at IFA was the Innit i3S home device. The Innit device is a smart speaker with voice assistant, featuring more than 4000 news updates and daily weather forecasts, Alexa connectivity, and the ability to control multiple home devices with Amazon’s IoT application. This powerhouse of a device comes in seven colors and styles, making it an awesome addition to any space.
A range of other incredible smart devices was on display at this year’s trade show including an incredible innovation by Korean technology company Samsung that allows homeowners to turn their house into a Wi-Fi hotspot using just an ordinary lamp post. 10) Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2
Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 is a compact, lightweight, and cordless vacuum cleaner. It uses new cyclone technology to pick up particles on any surface, with up to 80% more power than the original Dyson Ball Vacuum. The company spent six years developing the new model, which has 40% less suction power but 85% less weight. Dyson says it will be three times more efficient in picking up dirt and debris around the home than its predecessor.
